Virtual — Parent Connect

A night to wind down with other widowed parents. Pop in and enjoy some conversation, share some stories, talk fun or talk real - just be you. It's a time to find some company with others who understand the storm of solo parenting.

Family Friendzy Feature

Family Friendzy:
Our signature event

Family Friendzy is WPRP's annual celebration - a day entirely dedicated to community coming together with widowed families to celebrate life, have fun, connect, and show families they are not alone.

What to expect

Backyard skills games, fun (and sometimes fierce!) competition, inflatables and games for kids of all ages, free food and refreshments, face painting and activities, entertainment, and much more!

Why Family Friendzy matters

For many widowed families, this is a moving moment in which they can tangibly see that they are not alone. Community members of all ages come to honor loved ones who have passed, institute team bonding admist their company or own family, and a blast of a time is had in competing for the beloved title and trophy, "Knoxville Village Champs".

Group of people posing indoors around a sign on the floor reading 'Team Joe,' all extending fists forward in a show of unity, with a backdrop featuring Widowed Parent Relief Project logos and a trophy on the right side.

Completely free for WPRP families. Sponsors and donors make this day possible.
